About the farm

Beardyman Farm is a small scale agroecological farm with sites in Prestbury on the outskirts of Cheltenham and The Leigh. We grow a wide range of vegetables and offer a weekly box scheme to the local area.

No sprays (herbicides, pesticides, fungicides) or synthetic fertilisers are used and the majority of our beds are no dig helping to maintain and develop the health and natural fertility of the soil.

The beard behind it all

The beard behind Beardyman Farm. A passion for food (both production of and eating!) and a belief that small scale agriculture is the way forward, both in terms of food security and sustainability, led me to establish the farm. I am determined to establish and develop links between the farm and the local community.

I am a local boy having grown up in rural Gloucestershire and whilst the focus of the boxes will be the vegetables I am also keen to showcase some of the incredible local food producers from our area. When not amongst the vegetables I can most likely be found either walking our Romanian rescue dog Arnie/at The Gloucester Old Spot (great pub)/on a mountain.
